The problem of dwelling time is again on a spotlight, as most of the country’s leading ports’ dwelling time is still over 6 days, much higher than the target of 2.5 days. Such a never ending problem!
In his recently visit to Tanjung Priok Port for the inauguration of the New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1), President Joko Widodo again highlighted the progress of dwelling time, the time refers to how long it takes for cargo to be unloaded and receive clearance. Jokowi was so upset, knowing that there was no significant progress, though he had called for many times to improve it.
