Banten Port known with the tagline of ‘Banten Hebat’ (literally Banten the Great’) will conduct a digital port expo from October 9 to 13, an event as a starting point of its product of digital port. Banten Port will introduce and show off the concept of digital ports and present the advantage and benefits of this product to users.

In addition to the expo, other activities that will be done in parallel with the expo are including seminar and customer award. The seminar will be done on the first day (9 October) that will be opened by Vice Governor of Banten H. Andhika Hazrumy, while the speakers are including General Manager of Banten Port Armen Amir, Factory Manager of PT Pundi Kencana Banten Mustafa Ismail, Chairman of INSA (Indonesia National Shipowners’ Association) Banten Agus Sutanto, and Raja Olan Saut Gurning from ITS Surabaya. The seminar will be led by moderator Siswanto Rusdi, Director of The National Maritime Institute Namarin.

In addition to the seminar, a series of activities, including customer award, launching of some projects, and some CSR activities will be done during the expo.

Talking to the media recently, Armen Amir briefly explained its prolog for the expo and product launching saying that digital port is an integrated port service that is digitally connected. This integrated service will involve any services provided by port itself, customs, port authority (KSOP), local government, and some services from related institutions.

This system, said Armen, is integrated with Inaportnet. Armen explained that this application will be adopted by all state owned ports. “Banten Port is the first one that will adopt the application,” he said.
