Customers' Extensive Involvement Expected, to Realize IPC 2020 Target

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II Persero / IPC expects for further involvement of customers in improving the port performance, thus this Indonesia's  port operator can realize its vision and target to be a world class operator by 2020.


"The spirit of IPC and any activities for its 26th anniversary in 2018 are in accordance with this mission and target," said IPC Commercial Director Saptono Rahayu Irianto in his remark speech for Customer Gala Dinner in Bali, Sunday, December 9.


Titled "We grow together' for its 26th anniversary, IPC expects
support from any parties to improve any aspects for a better
performance. "All aspects, including mindset, facilities, collegial
spirit," Saptono noted.


Saptono admitted Indonesian  ports are now quitely left behind,
compared to some neighbor ports in view of facilities, IT, and human
resources. "We need acceleration for improving those aspects. Hence, we
need more extensive involvement from any stakeholders, including
customers."


Since 2015, IPC has been taking some key steps to improve the port
performance. Some indicators proved some significant improvement, higher
volume and income growth, as  well as a better relationship with
customers.


Some customers ammended to Indonesia Shipping Gazette. Hamdan Godang,
General Manager of Tanto Shipping Line Pontianak, a leading customer of
IPC Pontianak that got award, admitted a better model of communication
built by IPC with customers.


"Now its so easy to do communication with Pelindo, thus easily takling the problems, if any," said Hamdan.


In line with its 26th anniversary, IPC awarded its loyal customers
and those who provided high contribution to IPC, both in volume and
income.


“We totally realize that our positive achievent is because  of high
support from all stakeholders, including customers. We appreciate it
very much," Saptono said.


For its 26th anniversary in 2018, IPC gave awards to  customers in
view of some criteria, including volume contribution, on time payment,
and so on.  The award was given under three categories: shipping line,
containerized cargo owners, and break bulk cargo owners.

Each of IPC branch ports and subsidiaries have appointed their priority customers.







The awards for best shipping line from Tanjung Priok Port Branch is given to PT Samudera Indonesia, Panjang Port (PT Ganjaran  Samudera Mandiri), Palembang (PT Bintika Bangunusa), Pontianak (PT Tanto Intim Line), Banten (PT Maritim Indo Trans), Teluk Bayur (PT Usda Seroja Jaya), Bengkulu (PT Tempuran Emas), Cirebon (PT Pelayaran Gema Bahari), Jambi (PT Pelayaran Sukses Sindo Damai), Pangkal Balam (PT Bukit Merapin Nusantara Lines), Tanjung Pandan (PT Ligita Jaya), and IPC Sunda Kelapa to PT Internusa Bahari Persada.


The best Containerized Cargo Owners are as follows:  Tanjung Priok goes to  PT Meratus line, Panjang  (PT Great Giant Pineapple), Palembang (PT Sritrang Lingga Indonesia), Pontianak (PT Wirasentosa Giat Usaha), Teluk Bayur (PT Pendawalima Jayanthara), Bengkulu (PT Tampok Sukses Perkasa), and Jambi to PT Aneka Bumi Pratama.


The awards for Non Containerized Cargo Owner are as follows: Tanjung Priok goes to PT Escorindo Mitra Setia, Panjang (PT Pacific Global Utama), Palembang  (PT PP London Sumatera), Pontianak (PT Lahan Mas Agro), Banten (PT Cerestar Flour Mills), Teluk Bayur (PT Semen Padang), Bengkulu (PT Inti Bara Perdana), Cirebon (PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa), Jambi (PT Tiga Daya Energi), Pangkal Balam (PT Samudera Energi Niaga), Tanjung Pandan (PT Tri Bahari Servita Bersatu), and Sunda Kelapa to PT Bangka Wijaya Transportasi.


In addition to the branch  ports, IPC subsidiaries also provided awards to their best customers.


PT Pendidikan Maritim and Logistik Indonesia (PMLI) best customer goes to PT Indonesia Power,  TPK KOJA to PT OOCL Indonesia, PT Jasa Peralatan Pelabuhan Indonesia (JPPI) to IPC Terminal Petikemas Area Panjang, PT Pengerukan Indonesia to Guangzhou Dredging Co.Ltd (GDC), PT Pengembang Pelabuhan Indonesia (PPI) to PT NPCT1, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) to PT Maersk Line.


Then best customer of PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP) goes to PT Kaluku Maritima Utama, PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk. (IKT) to PT Easternindo Carmitra Lintas, PT Jasa Armada Indoesia Tbk. (JAI) to PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri), PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI) to PT Inti Sehat Group, PT Rumah Sakit Pelabuhan (RSP) to Badan Penyelenggaraan Jaminan Sosial (BPJS), PT Energi Pelabuhan Indonesia (EPI) to PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS) to PT IPC Terminal Petikemas, and PT Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia (EDII) award to PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero).
