MV Interasia Progress Calls Biweekly at IPC TPK Panjang

MV Interasia Progress, a 2,700-TEU containership, regularly calls at Panjang Container Terminal (IPC TPK Panjang) biweekly by turns with MV Sendang Mas to cater export-import commodities through Panjang.

The operational of MV Interasia Progress is collaboration between Wan Hai and Yang Ming lines to provide a regular shipping service at the route of Jakarta-Surabaya-Panjang-Jakarta-Port Klang (Malaysia)-Singapore.

Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK Panjang, Finan Syaifullah told Indonesia Shipping Gazette yesterday (05/16/2018) that MV Interasia Progress conducted stevedoring activity of around 200 boxes of containers in IPC TPK Panjang.

Export commodities are mostly dominated by agricultural products and pulp, Finan said.

IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK), which is a subsidiary of PT Pelindo II of Panjang Port Office, currently has accepted the calls of 4 international route ships, following the incoming of MV Sendang Mas.

MV Sendang Mas is dedicated to serve the route of Panjang-Jakarta-North and West Port Klang-Surabaya biweekly by turns with MT Interasia Progress.

Majority exported cargoes in the ship are agricultural products, such as banana, pineapple, shrimp, rubber, pulp & paper, multi-panel, and coffee.

Previously, TPK Panjang has already handled direct international shipment of MV TG Athena (window on Wednesday), MV Kota Wangi (window Thursday), and MV Asiatic Bay (on Friday), whereas MV Sendang Mas/Interasia Progress has a window on Sunday.
