Patimban Construction Supervision Agreement

Patimban Port construction is one of many strategic an important project for Indonesia. Ministry of Transportation as the responsible agency for the project appointed the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Ditjen Hubla) as the project executor. Ditjen Hubla execute the project very seriously. R. Agus H. Purnomo as the Director General of Sea Transportation hopes that Patimban Port could improve Indonesian logistics competitiveness.

Agreement Signing

Ditjen Hubla shows their commitment in Patimban by signing a partnership agreement with a consortium of supervision and design consultant joint venture companies. The delegation from Ditjen Hubla was PPPK Konsultan Pembangunan Pelabuhan Patimban Andilas Putra Asmara. While the delegation from the consortium of joint venture was the joint venture company of Yasunori Hasegawa.

The consortium of joint venture companies consist of 6 companies, 3 from Indonesia and 3 from Japan. The Japanese companies are Oriental Consultan Global Co. Ltd., Ides Inc., and Nippon Koei Co. While the Indonesian companies are PT Raya Konsult, PT Rayasurverindo Tirtasarana, and PT Indra Karya (Persero).

The agreement was signed on Monday, November 12th 2018 at Sriwijaya room of Ditjen Hubla Headquarters in Jakarta. The agreement signing was witnessed by R. Agus H. Purnomo as the Director General of Sea Transportation and the other Directors in Ditjen Hubla.

Patimban Construction Package

The construction package that was included in the agreement is supervision and design consultation service package for the construction of port’s facilities. The package was part of the Patimban Port construction project, phase 1. Agus hopes that the consortium of consultants could help to accelerate the Patimban Port construction project. He also hopes that the execution of Patimban Port construction project will still pay attention to regulation, quality, and the requirement for the community in general.

Patimban Port construction will be done in 3 phase. The first phase is to finish the construction of Patimban Port that will have the capacity of 3.5 million TEUs for container and 600,000 units of vehicle (CBU). The second and third phase will mainly focusing in constructing the upgrade to improve the port’s capacity. The second phase and third phase will improve the container capacity by 2 million TEUs per phase completed.

Patimban Port is scheduled to start the operation on 2019. This port will be used to serve the container and vehicle. Patimban will have a supporting backup area of 356 hectare to support the logistic efficiency to and from the port.
