PSS Secured New Coal Transport Service Contract with 2 Million metric tons Volume per year at US$18 M

PT Pelita Samudera Shipping Tbk (PSS) has again secured a new contract for coal transportation services with a minimum volume of 2 million metric tons per year with a total contract worth approximately US$18 million from PT Jembayan Muarabara (JMB) a coal mining company operating in East Kalimantan, one of Sakari Resources Group’s companies. 

The contract is signed by the President Director of PSS, Iriawan Ibarat and the President Director of JMB, Sudasi Harsono in Jakarta.

Based on the contract, JMB will load coal on PSS barges in the loading terminal at Separi Mahakam, Tenggarong Seberang and Kutai Kartanegara district in East Kalimantan. 

The period of a three-year contract which will expire in 2020. The Company is optimistic that the minimum volume guarantee of 2 million metric tons per year will be achieved in accordance with the agreed contract.

JBM as one of PSS trusted customers since 2007; with this new contract proves the high confidence of coal business players to PSS performance in the logistics industry. In addition to barging services, JMB is also a customer for coal transfer in Floating Loading Facility service.
