​​The Maritime Standard Awards (TMS Awards) 2018 will take place atthe Atlantis, The Palm, on 15th October this year. This is the fifth year in a row that the Awards and gala dinner have been staged at this fabulous, iconic venue. While TMS is sticking to the same winning formula that have made past Awards so hugely successful, the company is certainly not resting on its laurels. Asia Pacific Maritime 2018 to gather best of international maritime industry Strong international representation; official pavilions from Greece and Spain present for the first time From 14 to 16 March 2018, Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) will gather key industry players and thought leaders within the global maritime industry for three days of knowledge exchange, networking and business-building. The 15th edition will also welcome 18 official pavilions, including Greece and Spain which will be present for the first time. Konecranes launches three automation technologies to the container handling

Konecranes launched and introduce three automation-related technologies to the container handling industry during the recent 2017 Terminal Operations Conference (TOC) Europe exhibition in Amsterdam. The three technologies include: the first “A” was the Konecranes Noell straddle carrier (A-STRAD) and automated Sprinter Carrier (A-SPRINTER) systems. The first deal for this new technology was made with the Port of Auckland, New Zealand. Twenty-seven new Konecranes Noell A-STRADS will be delivered to Auckland, and twenty-one of their existing Konecranes Noell straddle carriers will be upgraded to A-STRAD level. The deal includes the TEAMS equipment control and fleet management system, the Navimatic navigation system, and process automation featuring interchange and fence control systems.…See Details...
