JAI Delivers 500 Food Packages to Covid-19 Affected Community

IPC Marine – PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk/IPCM (PT JAI) – a subsidiary of PT Pelindo II/IPC, delivers as many as 500 food packages to the community being affected by the coronavirus (covid-19) outbreak.

In cooperation with IPCM’s social unit Maziska (Majelis Amil Infaq Shodaqoh) and Tanjung Priok Port Police (Polres Tanjung Priok), those 500 packages were given to the low-income people getting affects of the covid-19 at Pademangan North Jakarta on Monday, May 11, 2020.

The symbolic delivery was led by PT JAI Finance and Human Resources Development Director Rizki Pribadi Hasan and Vice Head of Tanjung Priok Police Iptu Sudirman Agus to the Heads of Pademangan Neighbourhoods (RW) on representing the community as beneficiaries. The symbolic handover was witnessed by Head of Ancol Urban Village Rusmin and Head of Maziska Eddy Haristiani.

This PT JAI’s aids is also in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) tagline of “Humanity, Love, Culture” as well as the Maziska’s philosophy of “Ibadah, Amanah, Berbagi Manfaat (observance, trustworthy, sharing). It is expected that this can help the low-income community who are affected by the covid-19 outbreak.

“PT JAI is continuing to realize its commitment to care with the surrounding community. This proves our commitment and our social responsibility,” said Rizki.

In addition to this food package, Rizki explained that PT JAI had earlier granted some cash money to Port Hospital (RS Pelabuhan) to procure some personnel protection equipment (PPE), donation to Republika Program of “Gebah Corona” (Gerakan Gotong Royong Bantu Tenaga Kesehatan Cegah Corona), and provision of 6,800 masks. In addition, JAI has also distributed as many as 700 foods packages to the port workers, including vessel crew (ABK), security, and cleaning service, at any ports as work area of JAI, including Tanjung Priok, Palembang, Panjang (Lampung), Bengkulu, Jambi, Cirebon, Teluk Bayur, Pontianak, Banten, Pangkal Balam, and Tanjung Pandan.

In responding these packages, on behalf of the community as beneficiaries, Head of Ancol Urban Village Rusmin appreciates these aids and send tanks and appreciation to PT JAI, Maziska, and Polres Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok.

“Hopefully, this activity is under Allah SWT (God)’s will. We hope PT JAI’s business will get better and will continue to care with the community,” said Rusmin.
