“We hope this award inspires the logistics industry to achieve excellence in Indonesian logistics,” he stated.

Terminal Teluk Lamong was selected as the winner in the Port Container of the Year 2024 category after demonstrating outstanding performance across key aspects, including service coverage, service innovation, health and safety, and environmental concern.

David P. Sirait expressed his gratitude for TTL’s recognition. “We appreciate this acknowledgment of TTL’s efforts. This award is dedicated to all TTL employees, customers, and stakeholders who have trusted and collaborated with us. Moving forward, we will continue to innovate and enhance our digital systems to address national challenges,” he said.

As the government projects Indonesia’s economic growth to reach 5.2% in 2024, with Bank Indonesia estimating growth between 3.7% and 5.5%, logistics performance remains a focal point, as it can drive economic growth. Enhancing the logistics sector is expected to boost the growth of other sectors by improving effectiveness and efficiency through processes, technology, innovation, collaboration, and synergy.

In line with this, TTL is implementing various strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, including modifying truck operational patterns to improve performance and energy savings. The company is also innovating in information technology across its business processes to enhance services and reduce service times.

David further noted that the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) at the terminal is a key strategy for boosting performance, with a reported increase of 7.8% in throughput, totaling 658,526 TEUs by September 2024, compared to 610,600 TEUs in 2023.

Not resting on its laurels, TTL is actively developing its human resources through competency improvement initiatives, such as certification programs for lashers, operators, and truck drivers, enabling them to contribute more significantly to the growth of Indonesian logistics and the national economy.
