In anticipating probable coronavirus spread, Indonesia Car Terminal PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IPCC), in cooperation with Tanjung Priok Health Office, conducted socialization on some preventive and first aid actions on Monday, February 17.
For this PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II/IPC’ subsidiary, as a frontline in the process of cargo movement among the countries, the CBU (completed built-up vehicles) in particular, doing preventive action for any probable spreading of this virus is very crucial. Furthermore, this terminal handles many oceangoing ship calls.
IPCC President Ade Hartono noted that though this terminal has been running according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) in handling cargoes especially CBU, but preventing the virus spread is a new issue.
“Hence, it is so important to understand the way to anticipate and prevent this problem of coronavirus. That is why we do this (socialization),” he said in a press release.
Talking to the audience of the socialization, Head of Tanjung Priok Port Health Office dr. Jepri Hasuruan Sitorus explained what the coronavirus is, basic preventive actions, and ways of giving first aid.
All direction boards of IPCC, staff of IPCC, and some related partners joint this activity.
Ade encouraged all IPCC executive boards, staff, and partners to take active participation in preventing this virus probable spread within the country and via this terminal in particular.
