Capital Investment Coordinating Board BKPM today delivered donation for Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) aid of CJ Group Indonesia to state port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) II (Persero)/ IPC.
The aid was handed over by BKPM Committee Member Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi and witnessed by General Secretary of Indonesia Logistics and Forwarders’ Association (ALFI/ILFA) Akbar Djohan and Chairman of ALFI Chapter Jakarta (ALFI DKI) Adil Karim.
The aid was received by IPC President Director Arif Suhartono and Head of Tanjung Priok Port Authority Jece Julita Piris. Commending this aid, Yukki said that CJ Group Indonesia has trusted BKPM to deliver its aid for those who are seriously hit by the covid-19 outbreak.
“This is the first part. There will be more and more aids to come,” Yukki said, adding that this time BKPM distributed 1,500 packages of bread and milk that were shared to all workers around the port and the community around.
“We will continue to deliver aids from other investors to help people from this covid-19 effect,” Yukki added.
Yukki expects the port activities to run normal, but with high concern to safety according to the health protocols for this virus prevention as issued by the government. He said, port workers are the front liners.
Arif Suhartono appreciates any attention from both government and investors to the port activities, especially during this coronavirus outbreak. “We appreciate very much to any kinds of attention and aids from governments or other parties. We all expect that this coronavirus outbreak will end soon and the economy activity will be normal again,” he said.
As reported earlier, BKPM had received donation from CJ Group Indonesia worth Rp4 billion in form of rapid test kit, hand sanitizer, and food & drink products of 200,000 bread and 200,000 milk packages. BKPM will distribute those packages continuously in 20 days.
