OOCL to Open China-Indonesia New Service in September

Hong Kong’s Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), a subsidiary of China’s COSCO, is planning to open China-Indonesia new service in September, as a part of its step to strengthen China to South-East Asia service network.

Called as China Indonesia Philippines service (CIP) with its first sailing from Shanghai on September 1, this service is expected to provide a better service to customers doing trade among the three countries.

“CIP will enhance the network coverage from China to Indonesia, Indonesia to Philippines, as well as Indonesia and Philippines to China, providing customers with competitive and reliable shipment options,” OOCL said as quoted by Hong Kong Shipping Gazette.

CIP port rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Da Chan Bay, Jakarta, Surabaya, Manila South Harbour, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
