In line with its roadmap of 2022 as the ‘Year of Synergy and Growth’, branches of IPC TPK are expected to be the frontliners in building synergy among business entities and in increasing productivity.
IPC TPK yearly national meeting (Rakernas) conducted in Lampung on March 30-31 highlighted the corporate’s target this year in line with its roadmap. Both board of directors and board of commissioners have called active participation of all employees, especially in any branches, in realizing the target.
Moreover, IPC TPK has played key role in helping the Indonesia’s containerized trade, while on the same time it has provided high contribution to both – its parent company Sub-holding Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP) and Pelindo in general.
According to Muarip, IPC TPK President Commissioner, IPC TPK has contributed around 30% of the total SPTP throughput. Hence, Muarip, who is also Operation Director of the Sub-Holding, asked IPC TPK to increase its productivity this year. Further, he also encourages IPC TPK to provide significant contribution in building connectivity in the country.
“In the future we will compete with other ports abroad. This year we have to prepare to face such competition. IPC Terminal Container is one of the barometers for container terminal operators in Indonesia. The challenge for all of us is to continue to improve both in terms of service and human resource competency. The services improvement includes optimizing shiploads, fast container loading and unloading and delivering more accurate data. The ultimate goal is to reduce national logistics costs,” said Muarip.
Entering the year of Synergy & Growth, IPC TPK is currently preparing a National Integrated Container Terminal Network which aims to develop and explore Indonesia’s maritime potential which is believed to be able to reduce national logistics costs. In addition, IPC TPK is heading for Key Account Management Integration. Various transformations have been carried out to date, including digitizing services, improving corporate culture, developing human resources, and optimizing container loading and unloading equipment.

This year, IPC TPK targeted to handled throughput of 2.8 million TEUS, revenue of Rp 2.6 trillion and EBITDA of Rp236.7 billion.
Last year (2021), IPC TPK throughput reached 2.7 million TEUs, increasing from 2.58 TEUs in 2020. In line with the volume positive growth, the company also enjoyed a positive growth in revenue and profit. In 2021, IPC TPK booked revenue of Rp 2.51 (unaudited), increasing from 2.42 trillion in 2020. Its EBITDA also increased.
As a form of IPC TPK’s commitment in implementing the principles of Social and Environmental Responsibility (Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR) governance which is in line with the targets in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this activity also delivered appreciation to the terminal. on performance in several categories including Fuel Efficiency (SDGs No. 7) and Zero Accident (SDGs No. 3).
Meanwhile, IPC TPK President Director Wahyu Hardiyanto encouraged all IPC TPK managers and employees to be optimistic and calls for active participation in realizing the target.
“We must optimistic to reach the target. Whatever we face in the future, we must be sure that we can do something to reach the target. With optimism, we will continue to synergize with the head office, synergize with service users, synergize with customers and continue to do our best so that the IPC TPK target this year can be achieved,” he said.
In addition to Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors, Director of Strategy & Commercial of the Sub-Holding Rima Novianti also joint the Rakernas.
Entitled “Establish Container Terminal Operator Through Synergy & Growth”, the main focus of this year’s Rakernas is building synergy among business entities and productivity growth of container terminal services.
