Pelindo, KAI, and Pos Indonesia agreed to formulate Indonesia’s logistics vision for the next 5 to 10 years. In addition, they commit to comprehensively integrate an end-to-end logistics service to customers by implementing 3S – single document/data entry, single service level, and single price.
In his remarks, Arif Suhartono emphasized the importance of the collaboration of the three SOEs to be able to jointly realize good logistics services for the community.
“The collaboration among us (the three SOEs of Pelindo, KAI, and Pos Indonesia) in the logistics sector will certainly present a great strength for the scale of Indonesia. We hope that with this collaboration, we can provide best, optimal, and transparent end-to-end logistics services,” said Arif.
Didiek Hartantyo emphasized that inter-island and regional trade requires an integrated logistics system, both system integration and intermodal transportation integration.
“This MoU is our (the three SOEs of Pelindo, KAI, and Pos Indonesia) first step in restructuring an integrated, effective, and efficient transportation system towards excellent service,” said Didiek.
Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi added that currently the state-owned logistics companies are trying to maximize the potential of each party and integrate it.
“This collaboration is in line with the transformation of the company’s business and products, in which Pos Indonesia continues to make changes, developments and adaptations to information technology developments and hopes that this can support and provide added values in the logistics distribution process in Indonesia,” explained Faizal.
