Sealand to Open IA9 Weekly Service from Panjang

Sea Land – Group of A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S (APMM) which focuses business on intra-Asia trade, is offering cargo owners from Lampung (Panjang Port) and Jakarta (Priok Port) and Indonesia in general, with a direct shipment from the two ports to several destinations in Asia as Sealand will soon open new service of IA9 (Intra-Asia 9).

Planned to firstly call at Panjang Port in the last week of February, the IA9 will route Jakarta (Tanjung Priok NPCT1) – Panjang –  Tanjung Pelepas – Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam)– Hong Kong – Qingdao – Yokohama – Nagayo – Kobe – Busan – Hakata – Moji and then back to Tanjung Pelepas.

In its statement for the new service, Sealand says: “As a Maersk Company, we are committed in opening new opportunities for exporters or cargo owners to reach new markets. Introducing cargo owners the new Intra Asia (IA9) service that offers them direct weekly connections from Panjang and Jakarta to Vietnam, China and Japan.”

“With direct routes to Vietnam, China and Japan, cargo owners can be rest assured that their cargo will arrive in destination without misconnections or transhipment rollings.”

Sealand said further: “Maersk Company’s logistics solutions can take your cargo further than the container yard to your doorstep. Our logistics solutions that range from booking agent, customs clearance, trucking, all the way to warehousing are always ready at your disposal.”

Sealand now has another service of IN3, a feeder service from Panjang to Tanjung Pelepas and Singapore.

General Manager of Pelindo Regional II Panjang, the operator of Panjang Port, Adi Sugiri appreciates this Sealand new service, saying the port facilities are ready for the service.

He expects the new service will help cargo owners from Lampung Province and surroundings to easily export products to any destinations in Asian countries.

Adi affirmed that Panjang port throughput continued to grow up in the last several years, including the ones of export.
