JICT Wins Two Categories at the KSOP Awards 2024

Indonesia’s leading container terminal, the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT), has won two prestigious awards at the KSOP (Port Authority and Harbour Master) Awards 2024. In his remarks for the award ceremony, Head of KSOP Tanjung Priok, Takwim Masuku, stated that the award aims to commend the outstanding performance of service providers. He emphasized that this initiative not only acknowledges their efforts but also encourages them to continue delivering even better services in the future.

“This award is not just a mere ceremony; it is an appreciation for the services that have been provided. We hope that this award will serve as motivation and support for everyone to continually improve their services in the future,” said Takwim.

Takwim explained that this award celebrates the first anniversary of the merger of the Port Authority and Harbour Master at Tanjung Priok Port. He noted that there will be a total of 18 award categories.

The award ceremony was opened by Director of Coast Guard Jon Kenedi, representing the Director General of Sea Transportation from the Ministry of Transportation.

In his remarks, Kenedi stated, “Tanjung Priok is a symbol of national economic growth, serving as the main gateway for Indonesia’s trade. We hope Priok will continue to uphold its role and maintain its efficiency and shipping safety.”

He added that the award is expected to symbolize innovation and dedication, as well as active participation in supporting logistics efficiency. Kenedi urged all parties to collaborate in making Tanjung Priok the center of trade activities, not only at the national level but also in the Asia-Pacific

The 2024 Award Ceremony, held at the Movenpick Hotel Jakarta on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, was attended by Tanjung Priok Port Executive General Manager Adi Sugiri, along with representatives from container terminal operators such as IPC TPK, Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT), Terminal Peti Kemas Koja (TPK Koja), and New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1). The event also featured non-container terminal operators like PTP, the car terminal operator IKT (IPCC), and stevedoring companies including Adipurusa and Daisy Mutiara Samudera (DMS).

Additionally, port users and associations such as the Indonesia Stevedoring Companies’ Association (APBMI), the Indonesia Importers’ Association (GINSI), and the Indonesia Logistics and Forwarders’ Association (ALFI/ILFA) participated in the event.
