Indonesia’s leading car terminal operator PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal (IKT), a public listed company (IDX: IPCC), has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning First Place at the Vendor Jishuken Convention, an annual event organized by PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN).
The award was presented in the “Best Suggestion System of Logistics Vendor – TLC (Toyota Logistic Community)” category. A standout talent from IPCC’s Jakarta Branch earned this prestigious recognition by impressing the jury with a brilliant suggestion.
The event took place this year at the Sunlake Hotel in Sunter, with key attendees including TMMIN President Director, Nandi Julyanto, and TLC General Chair, Harry Soputan.
Also present were IPCC’s Director of Operations and Engineering, Bagus Dwipoyono, along with representatives from 30 companies that are part of the TMMIN vendor network.
The award-winning idea was based on the “SAIL Strong” program, which focuses on strengthening attitude, improving skills, and improving knowledge for driver operators. The program began with IPCC’s self-learning process, aimed at driving innovation and transformation within the company.
Recognizing the importance of enhancing training effectiveness for operators, especially drivers, IPCC’s initiative focuses on making the refresher courses, socialization, and training process more efficient, adaptive, and aligned with industry needs. The goal is for operators to continuously improve their competence through digital and flexible methods.
The success of the “SAIL Strong” program signifies IPCC’s commitment to innovation, adaptation, and elevating service quality. The program is more than just a training initiative—it’s a platform for fostering growth and professionalism within the port logistics industry.
The Jishuken Convention is a key part of Toyota’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement (Kaizen), which emphasizes the evaluation and enhancement of work processes.
The convention aims to strengthen the collaboration between TMMIN and IPCC, focusing on improving operational efficiency, productivity, and work safety standards across various factors, including safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, and environmental considerations.
In his statement, TMMIN President Director Nandi Julyanto expressed gratitude to logistics industry players for their ongoing efforts to adapt to changes in the Indonesian vehicle industry. He praised their continuous improvement of competence and professionalism in service delivery.
“We are grateful to logistics business actors who continue to adapt to changes in the climate of the vehicle industry in Indonesia so that they can keep improving their competence and professionalism in service,” he said on Friday, March 21, 2025.
IPCC’s Director of Operations and Engineering, Bagus Dwipoyono, emphasized that the award aligns with IPCC’s strategic goals, particularly in human resource development and building a robust corporate culture.
He expressed hope that this recognition would inspire IPCC operators to further enhance their competencies and service quality. “Ultimately, this achievement will foster growth and professionalism in the port logistics industry, particularly at IPCC,” Bagus added.
