JICT Wins ‘2025 Derap Kerja Sama Award’ for Education Initiative

PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) has been awarded the ‘2025 Derap Kerja Sama Award’ for Best Education, in recognition of its contribution to community development through an education-focused corporate responsibility program.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung presented the award on Friday, July 11, 2025, honoring JICT’s Rumah Belajar (Learning House) initiative, an educational program aimed at improving literacy, digital access, and youth engagement in neighborhoods surrounding the busy Tanjung Priok Port.

The initiative, part of JICT’s Business-Based Social and Environmental Responsibility (Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan Berbasis Usaha, or TJSLBU), has reached dozens of children in high-density urban areas, helping reduce the risk of juvenile delinquency and promoting inclusive learning.

“This award is a testament to our long-term commitment to sustainable development in the communities around the port,” JICT President Director Ade Hartono said at the award ceremony in Jakarta.

“We believe that business growth must align with social impact. Rumah Belajar is more than a CSR program, it’s a tangible collaboration with the community and local government to shape a stronger future generation,” Ade further explained.

JICT plans to expand the program in the coming years by introducing vocational training focused on port-related skills and reinforcing its Green Dock School initiative as part of a broader sustainability campaign.

“The recognition also affirms that collaboration between the private sector, government, and the public can deliver real, positive change for Jakarta,” Ade said.
