MTI Delivers Free Health Checks to Dockers Ahead of Independence Day

PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI), a subsidiary of Pelindo Solusi Logistik Subholding (SPSL), provided free medical checkups to 250 dockers, locally known as Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM) Jakarta and Surabaya as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative marking the 80th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence.

The health screenings were held at two major ports, Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta and Tanjung Perak in Surabaya, and targeted TKBM. The initiative was conducted in collaboration its parent company SPSL.

Dockers received comprehensive health assessments including medical history reviews, physical exams, vital sign monitoring, vision and color blindness tests, chest X-rays, spirometry, and laboratory analyses. Each participant was also provided with a nutrition package containing vitamins, milk, and healthy food.

“This is part of the Pelindo Group’s Social and Environmental Responsibility program,” said Budi Azmi, Acting President Director of MTI.

“The strong turnout reflects growing awareness among workers about the importance of early health detection. We hope this effort supports their wellbeing and productivity,” he said further.

Cecep Anwar, a TKBM representative from Tanjung Priok, said the checkup helped workers better understand their health status. “We’re grateful for the support. Hopefully, programs like this will continue,” he said.

Muhammad Nur Hasan, a dock worker at Tanjung Perak, also expressed appreciation for the initiative.

MTI Corporate Secretary Sucahyo said the activity was part of a wider series of CSR efforts by the Pelindo Group in celebration of Indonesia’s independence.
