PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) held a Legal Group Discussion (LGD) in Bandung this month as part of its commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day, underscoring the company’s focus on strengthening legal governance, preventing corruption and addressing receivables risks.
The forum, held at the Mercure Hotel Bandung, brought together the company’s board of directors and branch managers from across Indonesia to align legal understanding and coordinate strategies for managing legal risks in business operations.
PTP Nonpetikemas said the discussion focused on three main areas: identifying and analysing legal risks in the company’s business processes, reviewing receivables issues and challenges in collection, and gathering input from regional branches to standardise cooperation agreements with business partners in line with prevailing laws and regulations.

President Director Indra Hidayat Sani said strong legal compliance and risk mitigation were critical to ensuring the company’s operational sustainability.
“Asset protection and smooth operations depend heavily on compliance and appropriate legal strategies,” Indra said. “This discussion is a concrete step to unify our vision, align legal understanding and implement early risk mitigation across all units.”
He added that the standardised cooperation agreements developed through the forum would serve as a legal safeguard for all PTP Nonpetikemas branches.
The LGD also featured a session on corruption prevention delivered by Andhy Hermawan Bolifaar, a coordinator for special crimes at the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office. He outlined key changes under Indonesia’s latest Criminal Code and their implications for corruption law enforcement.
“Corruption typically arises from factors such as greed, opportunity, need and weak disclosure,” Andhy said.

He also highlighted the importance of the Business Judgment Rule (BJR) in protecting company directors when making business decisions.
“The BJR provides legal protection as long as decisions are made without fraud, conflicts of interest or gross negligence, and in the company’s best interest,” he said. “However, that protection is lost if bribery or kickbacks are involved, and directors may then face prosecution under corruption laws.”
PTP Nonpetikemas said the forum reinforced its commitment to good corporate governance and legal awareness, aiming to strengthen integrity and accountability at all levels of management.
