Following the success of its inaugural event in 2023, Sea Indonesia returns in 2025 as the country’s premier maritime exhibition and conference. Held biennially, this event serves as a key platform for connecting maritime stakeholders from Indonesia and around the globe.
With the tagline “SEA INDONESIA 2025: Maritime One Stop Shop (MOSS), The Most Exclusive Maritime Exhibition & Conference”, the event will take place at Hall B1-B2, Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, Jakarta, from May 14 to 16, 2025.
This year’s exhibition will feature over 150 exhibitors from both domestic and international maritime industries, showcasing cutting-edge products, services, and innovations across the entire maritime value chain.
Exhibitors represent a wide range of sectors within the maritime ecosystem, including: Shipping companies, Shipyards, Maritime law firms, Fleet management firms, Financial institutions and banks, Ports and marine service providers, P&I clubs, Consultants and inspection agencies, Classification societies, Ship engine and component manufacturers, Marine technology companies, Maritime education and training institutions, Maritime tourism operators.
Strong International Participation
International exhibitors will be attending from across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, including China, Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Norway, and the United States.
Notably, the Japan Ship Machinery and Equipment Association (JSMEA) will host a dedicated Japan Pavilion. JSMEA will also contribute to the conference with expert sessions from its members, covering the latest technological advancements and business practices in the ship machinery industry. JSMEA currently boasts more than 244 regular corporate members and 75 supporting organizations.

Alongside Japan, the China Pavilion will feature a range of Chinese companies involved in shipbuilding, design, maritime automation, safety systems, and navigation technology.
Sea Indonesia 2025 is proudly supported by four key national associations: The Indonesian Ship and Offshore Facilities Industry Association (IPERINDO); The Indonesian Ship Component Industry Association (PIKKI); The Indonesian Stevedoring Company Association (APBMI); and The Indonesian Shipping Agencies Association (ISAA).
Several top educational and training institutions will also be represented, including the University of Indonesia (UI), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Azureus Offshore Training, and the Center for Human Resource Development in Sea Transportation (PPSDM), which oversees 14 maritime-focused civil service academies.
Running concurrently with the exhibition, the Sea Indonesia Conference will span three days and feature speakers from across the maritime spectrum—industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers. Participants include representatives from Bank Mandiri, Hempel A/A, MAN Energy Solutions, Rina Digital Solutions, SHELL, Zichai Power Co. Ltd, ClassNK, China Classification Society, Jotun Indonesia, and many more.
A Platform for Growth and Collaboration
Johnson W. Sutjipto, President Director of event organizer PT Kshatriya Piningit Kamulyan, emphasized that Sea Indonesia 2025 offers a prime opportunity for Indonesian maritime players to build partnerships with global companies.
“This event supports business and investment collaboration by bringing together key players from across the maritime ecosystem,” he said.
Sutjipto also highlighted the importance of maritime development for Indonesia’s future:
“As the world’s largest archipelagic nation, Indonesia must continue to embrace its maritime identity. With our economic recovery targeting 8% growth over the next five years, strong inter-island and international connectivity is crucial.”
This year’s event also marks the 20th anniversary of Indonesia’s cabotage principle, established under Presidential Instruction No. 5/2005, reinforcing national maritime industry empowerment as a step toward realizing Indonesia’s vision as the Global Maritime Fulcrum.
Siana A. Surya, Commissioner of PT Kshatriya Piningit Kamulyan, noted that the event aims to: “Facilitate interaction among maritime stakeholders, from shipowners and shipyards to equipment suppliers and industry professionals. It’s a gateway to new networks, collaborations, and business opportunities in the maritime and investment sectors.”
