SPSL Distributes 1,000 Food Packages in Semarang Drive

PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), a subholding of state-owned port operator Pelindo, distributed 1,000 food packages to residents and motorcycle taxi drivers in Semarang, Central Java, on Saturday, as part of a nationwide community outreach initiative.

The program, titled Sharing for the Nation, was held in partnership with the Generasi Hebat Sejahtera Foundation, also known as the 98 Resolution Network. It aims to promote solidarity and mutual cooperation while supporting the government’s social welfare goals.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to improving the welfare of communities closest to our operations, particularly in Tanjung Mas,” said Dewi Fitriyani, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat at SPSL. “We also hope to support online motorcycle taxi drivers who play a key role in the city’s mobility and economy.”

Dewi said the effort forms part of SPSL’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, aligned with the government’s Asta Cita mandate and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focused on poverty reduction and welfare improvement.

Chaerudin Affan, a representative of the 98 Resolution Network, said similar events have been organized in several cities, including Jakarta, Makassar, Bandung, Medan, and Surabaya.

“We want to accelerate the realization of a Golden Indonesia, even before 2045,” he said. “Through collaboration with state-owned enterprises like the Pelindo Group, we’re committed to sustaining social programs that build harmony between business, government, and communities.”

The initiative drew praise from local authorities and residents. North Semarang Police Chief Commissioner Heri Sumiarso welcomed the effort, saying it reflected strong cooperation between the private sector and the community.

“This program not only eases the burden on residents but also strengthens synergy between officials, companies, and the public,” Heri said. “It deserves appreciation and continued expansion.”

Tanjung Mas Village Head Sony Yudha Putra Pradana also expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the program had a direct impact on local households.
“This distribution is very helpful for our residents,” he said. “We hope such collaborations will continue.”

Krisna, a representative of the National Online Motorcycle Taxi Coalition (KON), said the aid provided much-needed relief for drivers amid economic challenges.
“This is clear evidence of how collaboration can create real benefits,” he said.
