Entering its third year after the merger of state-owned port companies, Pelindo, the subholding PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (“SPSL”) has achieved remarkable operational growth throughout 2024.
In terms of container yard (CY) performance, SPSL recorded 1.35 million boxes, representing an impressive 215% year-on-year growth. This achievement highlights PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik’s vital role in supporting national logistics and driving economic growth through its efficient, reliable, and safe logistics services.
Joko Noerhudha, President Director of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik, noted that in addition to container yard’s performance, the warehousing segment also saw strong growth, with a total volume of 177.2 thousand CBM in 2024—an increase of 141% year-on-year.
“This success is a result of the team’s unwavering commitment and dedication to providing efficient, reliable, and integrated logistics solutions, along with the trust we’ve earned from customers, partners, and stakeholders. We believe this achievement marks the beginning of a long journey in supporting Indonesia’s economic growth,” said Joko Noerhudha.
According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia’s economy grew by 5.03% in 2024, with all sectors reporting positive growth.
The highest growth was seen in other services, which expanded by 9.80%, followed by transportation and warehousing (8.69%) and accommodation & food services (8.56%).
The growth in transportation and warehousing underscores the logistics sector’s critical role in maintaining smooth and stable goods distribution across the country.
SPSL’s impressive performance in 2024 was also driven by various service optimization efforts. Key improvements in warehousing and yard’s operational performance were implemented at major ports like Tanjung Priok, Tanjung Perak, and Tanjung Emas—key hubs for national logistics distribution.
With the digitalization of service processes and the adoption of data-driven technologies, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik has been able to accelerate operational processes and improve accuracy in logistics management.
As part of its service transformation, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik continues to strengthen its infrastructure and operational technology. Notably, in 2024, the company introduced an X-Ray-based Container Scanner at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta, with plans to expand its use at other major ports for inspecting export and import containers. This initiative aligns with regulatory efforts to prevent the smuggling of prohibited goods and streamline customs procedures.
SPSL also optimized the Pelindo Tower building, which is now fully operational. The building has achieved an occupancy rate of 323,210 m² per month, a 109% year-on-year increase. This growth demonstrates PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik’s commitment to providing modern facilities that support the logistics sector and help businesses run smoothly.
With strong growth momentum, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik is prepared to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities in the logistics industry in 2025.
This is aligned with the company’s 2025-2026 roadmap, “Transforming Business,” which focuses on service transformation through system capabilities and digitalization, enhancing supply chain solutions, increasing multimodal connectivity and hinterland integration, and strengthening financial structures, risk management, and corporate branding.
“For 2025, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik remains committed to creating sustainable value. We believe that collaboration with all stakeholders, including the government, customers, industry players, BUMN, and global partners, is key to providing service excellence. This will enable us to offer competitive logistics services that meet market needs and drive national economic growth,” Joko Noerhudha said.
