PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to sustainable environmental management. This dedication was recently reaffirmed through the successful completion of the ISO 14001:2015 audit, conducted from April 21–23, 2025. Notably, the scope of this year’s audit was expanded to include the Nilam Container Terminal (TPK Nilam), a terminal under TTL’s management.
The audit was conducted at both the TTL headquarters and TPK Nilam. Based on the evaluation by the GCL International Certification Body, TTL has been recommended to maintain its ISO 14001:2015 certification. This confirms that the company’s environmental management system is operating effectively and aligns with international standards.
GCL International’s Lead Auditor, Eni Herawati, praised TTL’s achievements, particularly in the area of system digitalization. “We appreciate TTL’s commitment and consistency in implementing environmental management systems, especially their efforts in digitizing business processes. These initiatives have directly contributed to more efficient use of natural resources, such as reducing paper usage in documentation and optimizing fuel consumption in operations,” she noted.
TTL President Director David Pandapotan Sirait emphasized that the audit reflects the company’s broader vision to be the leading green port in the region. “Environmental management under ISO 14001 is not limited to TTL alone—we are also committed to implementing these practices across all terminals under our management, including TPK Nilam. This is part of our continuous effort to improve operational performance while preserving environmental sustainability,” he said.
He further highlighted TTL’s future direction: “We believe that the terminal of the future must be not only fast and efficient but also environmentally friendly and sustainable. We will continue to promote operational efficiency and environmental awareness across all our business developments.”
ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally recognized standard focused on managing environmental risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering continuous improvement in environmental performance.
TTL’s success in maintaining this certification further reinforces its reputation as a model green port terminal. It also reflects the company’s deeply rooted culture of quality, compliance, and sustainability.
