TPK Berlian (Terminal Peti Kemas Berlian), a recently integrated container terminal under PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL), reported a 5.46% rise in container throughput for the January–August 2025 period, reflecting growing momentum ahead of the year-end peak season.
The terminal, which officially became part of TTL’s operations on July 1, 2025, handled 122,895 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) as of August, up from 116,535 TEUs recorded during the same period last year.
August marked one of the highest monthly volumes for TPK Berlian this year, supported by increased activity from several major domestic shipping lines. PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL) contributed the largest increase with an additional 2,116 TEUs, followed by PT Meratus with 1,354 TEUs and PT Tanto with 880 TEUs.
TTL attributed the growth in part to rising goods movement in preparation for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Burhanudin, Head of TPK Berlian, said the terminal remains on track to meet or surpass its 2025 performance targets.
“With the energy and commitment of our entire team, we are optimistic that TPK Berlian will not only meet but exceed the container throughput goals set for this year,” he said on Thursday (September 11).
He added that the terminal’s performance reflects more than operational metrics, it also underscores the dedication of its workforce in ensuring seamless cargo handling.
“By maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols in every activity, TPK Berlian is committed to supporting smooth logistics flows across the country and contributing to Indonesia’s broader economic growth,” he said.
The integration of TPK Berlian into TTL’s operations is part of a broader effort by state-owned port operator Pelindo to streamline port management and improve service quality across the national logistics network.
