IPC TPK, PTP Nonpetikemas Strengthen Operational Synergy at Teluk Bayur

PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) and PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) have agreed to integrate operations at Teluk Bayur port in West Sumatra to improve cargo handling efficiency and logistics flows in western Indonesia.

The collaboration links IPC TPK’s container terminal operations with PTP Nonpetikemas’ multipurpose services, enabling shared use of berths, loading equipment and operational support, the companies said.

“This synergy is not just operational cooperation, but a concrete step to ensure that every port asset is optimally utilized,” said IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Operations Manager Erika Sudarto.

Under the agreement, the two entities will coordinate dock utilization, deploy certified equipment operators and support services including stevedoring, lift-on/lift-off (Lo/Lo) and haulage. Weighbridge capacity for dry bulk cargo will also be strengthened to improve accuracy and efficiency in cargo handling.

The companies said closer coordination on vessel berthing schedules, equipment readiness and cargo flow management would help reduce waiting times and boost terminal productivity.

The agreement was signed at Pelindo Tower in Jakarta as part of broader efforts by state port operator Pelindo Group to build a more integrated logistics ecosystem.

Fauzi, head of PTP Nonpetikemas’ Teluk Bayur branch, and other senior officials from both entities attended the signing.

Erika said the collaboration would support sustained improvements in loading and unloading performance at the port.
