Pelindo Jasa Maritim Exceeds First-Half Profit Target by 44%

Higher marine service demand, stronger subsidiaries and disciplined costs lifted first-half earnings, as the company accelerated investments to strengthen Indonesia’s maritime logistics and port competitiveness

PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PJM) reported a sharp increase in first-half 2026 earnings, with net profit after tax rising 44% above the company’s budget target and significantly higher than the same period a year earlier, supported by stronger revenue and improved operating efficiency.

Operating revenue rose 14% year-on-year during the January-June period, while operating expenses remained under control, lifting profitability. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 39% from a year earlier, reflecting stronger operating performance across the company’s business segments.

Corporate Secretary Tubagus Patrick said the results reflected PJM’s strategy of strengthening its core marine services, improving operational efficiency and maximizing synergies across the PJM Group.

“The first-half performance demonstrates that our strategy of strengthening marine services, expanding port services and optimizing the contribution of our subsidiaries has delivered healthy and sustainable growth,” Patrick said in a statement.

He said the company would maintain the momentum in the second half of the year by improving service quality, accelerating strategic investment projects and reinforcing corporate governance.

Revenue growth was driven primarily by higher pilotage and towage services at privately operated port terminals, growth in spare parts procurement and maintenance services, increased electricity production at subsidiaries, and stronger demand for electrical contracting services.

For the remainder of 2026, PJM plans to accelerate strategic investments, improve service productivity, deepen collaboration across its business units and expand innovative maritime services aimed at supporting Indonesia’s logistics efficiency and enhancing the competitiveness of its ports.
