PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (SPSL) and its subsidiaries distributed more than 4,000 social assistance packages to communities around its operational areas during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H/2026, as part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs.
The initiative forms part of the “Pelindo Berbagi Ramadan” program organized by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero). Through the program, SPSL delivered aid through three main activities: distributing basic food packages, providing donations for orphans, and sharing takjil (fast-breaking meals) with port workers, truck drivers and nearby residents.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat at PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, Dewi Fitriyani, said Ramadan provides an opportunity for the company to strengthen its social engagement and relationships with communities around its operations.
“Ramadan is a moment to reinforce the values of togetherness and compassion. Through these sharing programs, we want to ensure the presence of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva is felt not only through business activities but also through meaningful social contributions,” Dewi said.
Food Aid and Donations for Orphans
As part of the program, SPSL Group distributed 1,965 basic food packages to communities living near the company’s operational areas. The assistance aims to help families meet daily needs during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

The company also provided more than 1,000 donations to orphans as a gesture of social care and solidarity during the fasting month.
Community leaders welcomed the initiative. Abdul Rahman, head of LMK Kalibaru, expressed appreciation for the company’s support.
“Ramadan is a time to strengthen social awareness and share with others. We appreciate the support from PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, as this assistance is very meaningful for our community,” he said.
One beneficiary, Dedi, also expressed gratitude for the assistance.
“Alhamdulillah, this food aid means a lot to us. We hope the company continues to grow and bring benefits to the community,” he said.
Takjil Distribution Supports Local MSMEs
In addition, SPSL distributed 1,060 takjil packages to residents and workers around its operational areas ahead of the daily breaking of the fast.
The distribution involved SPSL employees as part of the company’s Employee Social Responsibility (ESR) initiative, encouraging staff participation in community-based activities.

The program also supported local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which were engaged to provide the takjil meals.
One participating MSME owner, E. Sabik, said the program provided both social and economic benefits.
“We are happy to be involved in this initiative. Besides helping people who need meals to break their fast, the program also provides opportunities for small businesses like ours to grow,” he said.
As part of the Pelindo Group, PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva said it remains committed to implementing CSR initiatives that deliver tangible social benefits.
“For us, the company’s success is not only measured by business performance but also by the positive impact we create for communities and the surrounding environment,” Dewi said.
