State port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) / Pelindo targets to Pelindo targets container throughput of 17.3 million TEUs (twenty-feet equivalent units) this year (2022), a 4.9% increase year on year (y-o-y), the corporate has said.
Last year, the company’s unaudited container throughput reached 16.4 million TEUs in which the Indonesia’s leading port Tanjung Priok contributed the highest. Priok throughput reached 6,750.302 TEUs , increasing from 6,205,301 TEUs in 2020.
By terminal, the Jakarta International Container Terminal JICT contributed the highest among the terminals, reaching 2,037,485 TEUs.
Pelindo also targets an increase in non-containerized cargo volume, by 3.2%, to 144.3 million tons, from 2021 unaudited volume of 139.8 million tons.
In addition to the increase in cargo volume and throughput, Pelindo also targets an increase in ship calls, by 7.3%, to 1,271 million GT, from 1,184 million GT (unaudited).
Pelindo now operates 96 ports nationwide.
