PT Samudera Indonesia is dedicated to enhancing the future of the maritime and logistics industry through digitalization and technology. One key initiative involves providing full scholarships to ten startups focused on the maritime, logistics, green sustainability, and hospitality sectors.
Samudera Indonesia has also formed a strategic partnership with Foundry, a technology ecosystem platform in Indonesia, to support a bootcamp acceleration program called Foundry Academy. This program aims to assist startup founders in building and developing their businesses.
The discussion also marked the launch of the bootcamp program, which will take place over 12 intensive weeks. It featured a panel discussion with Listiyo Prihantoro, a representative of Samudera Indonesia; Richie Wirjan, Co-Founder and CEO of Foundry; and Arsifa Deliyana, a top alumna of Foundry Academy’s first wave.
Listiyo emphasized that this collaboration represents a new initiative for Samudera, bolstered by support from both Samudera’s maritime and logistics ecosystem and Foundry’s innovation ecosystem. “Participants will have the opportunity to secure investment, engage in mentoring sessions, and hold direct discussions with experts and practitioners in their fields,” he stated in a written statement on Sunday (10/20).
Richie added that it is crucial for startups to grow not only organically but also by exploring various opportunities for collaboration with multiple ecosystems, including Samudera Indonesia.
Both Samudera and Foundry hope that this strategic collaboration will serve as a platform for startup founders to exchange ideas and build partnerships that positively impact Indonesia’s technology ecosystem, particularly in the maritime and logistics sectors.
They believe that this collaboration will foster innovation and sustainability, which are essential for addressing both global and local challenges in these strategic industries.
