In a heartfelt speech for this anniversary, President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas Indra Hidayat Sani, expressed his gratitude to the company’s dedicated employees, urging them to remain motivated as they work toward realizing the company’s vision.

“Thank you for the outstanding achievements PTP Nonpetikemas has made over the past decade. These transformations have laid the foundation for our continued growth across Indonesia,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, Prakosa Hadi T, President Commissioner of PTP Nonpetikemas, emphasized the company’s commitment to long-term growth and regional development.

“The transformation at PTP Nonpetikemas is key to driving our progress, with great potential to bolster business expansion in various regions. Our management is fully committed to advancing the company and achieving our shared goal: Beyond Terminal,” he noted.

A Decade of Transformation

Since its establishment on July 10, 2013, PTP Nonpetikemas has continuously adapted and evolved. After securing its Port Business Entity license on November 1, 2014, the company expanded its services, focusing on ship, cargo, and other port-related offerings. Between 2018 and 2021, PTP Nonpetikemas expanded its network, now managing 11 strategic ports throughout Indonesia.

These ports play a critical role in handling a diverse range of commodities. For example, at Tanjung Priok Port, major products include dry bulk cargoes like sand, cement, sugar, and general cargo such as rice, gypsum, plywood, and steel coils.

Teluk Bayur Port in West Sumatra specializes in liquid bulk commodities like CPO, as well as dry bulk goods such as corn and fertilizer.

Similarly, Kijing Port in West Kalimantan and Panjang Port in Lampung serve as vital hubs for various commodities, including agricultural products, palm oil derivatives, heavy equipment, and more.

Meanwhile, Ciwandan Port in Banten handles foodstuffs, coal, nickel ore, and chemicals.

Boosting Operational Efficiency

One of the company’s major achievements is its focus on increasing operational efficiency, notably by reducing port stay time, which refers to the duration a ship spends in port. By optimizing operational flows and utilizing advanced technology, PTP Nonpetikemas has managed to significantly cut down port waiting times, thereby boosting port productivity.

The Pelindo Terminal Operating System-Multipurpose (PTOS-M) has played a crucial role in this transformation, improving everything from ship tracking and cargo handling to logistics flow optimization. This system has helped reduce operational costs and enhanced safety by mitigating potential risks in port operations.

The year of 2022 marked a significant milestone for PTP Nonpetikemas with the restructuring of its majority shareholder and the unveiling of a new logo, symbolizing the company’s ambition to lead the non-container terminal industry in Indonesia. The company also implemented key transformations in six core areas: business processes, technology, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment), infrastructure, equipment, and human resources (HR). Notably, the company achieved major operational improvements, including a focus on zero fatalities in safety practices.

In 2024, PTP Nonpetikemas reached several impressive milestones, such as supporting the Discovery Giant Well project in the Andaman block, contributing to the National Strategic Project (PSN) through the loading and unloading of smelter-grade alumina at Kijing Port, and expanding shore base activities throughout Indonesia.
