This message was conveyed by Pelindo’s President Director, Arif Suhartono, during the New Year 2025 celebration, themed “End with Reflection, Begin with Ambition: A Journey Towards Maritime Ecosystem Leadership.” The hybrid event, held across five cities—Medan, Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, and Bitung—gathered Pelindo Group personnel from each region. The event was held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Attended by Pelindo’s Board of Commissioners, Directors, and leaders from subsidiaries, the event served as a moment for reflection on the achievements and challenges of 2024. It also ignited renewed enthusiasm for Pelindo’s ambitious vision of becoming a world-class leader in the integrated maritime ecosystem.

The celebration highlighted Pelindo’s significant strides in strengthening port infrastructure, innovating logistics technologies, and improving maritime connectivity. These efforts, alongside other achievements, underscore the company’s dedication to advancing the national maritime sector.

In his speech, Arif Suhartono expressed deep gratitude to all stakeholders who have supported Pelindo’s initiatives. “Thank you for your support, participation, contributions, and valuable feedback. Your involvement has been essential to our progress,” he stated.

“On behalf of myself and all of Pelindo’s management, I offer my heartfelt appreciation to everyone, especially our colleagues in operations. Alhamdulillah, we gather today in good health. May we always be granted the strength and resilience to continue building Pelindo—a company that contributes significantly to the prosperity of Indonesia. Ports are vital because sea trade plays a dominant role in our economy,” he added.

Additionally, Suhartono acknowledged the Pelindo Group personnel for their hard work and dedication throughout 2024, which has led to tangible improvements within the organization and the broader maritime ecosystem.

The President Director also reflected on Pelindo’s 2024 Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) achievements, emphasizing the company’s commitment to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He expressed hopes for further growth in this area in 2025, with a focus on improving the number and quality of MSMEs.

“I look forward to seeing continued progress in 2025. It would be ideal if we could see year-on-year growth in the number of MSMEs supported by Pelindo,” Suhartono said.

He also extended his appreciation to the Pelindo Employee Wives Association (PIP) for their significant contributions to improving conditions in port areas. “Thanks to their efforts, many of our ports are now much tidier, cleaner, and more beautiful,” he remarked.
