The Formation Team of the Indonesian Exporters’ Association (GPEI) met with Minister of Trade Budi Santoso on Thursday, January 9, 2025, to discuss key initiatives aimed at increasing exports.
The meeting was led by Benny Soetrisno, General Chairperson of the GPEI, and Toto Dirgantoro, Secretary General. They presented several important updates, including outcomes from the successful National Conference (Munas) and National Working Meeting (Rakernas) held in Semarang, Central Java, in December 2024.

“In addition to outlining our upcoming work program, we shared the results of the Depalindo (Indonesia shippers’ Council)/INSC Annual Meeting, which took place in November 2024 in Brussels, Belgium,” said Toto Dirgantoro, who also serves as Chairman of Depalindo.
GPEI also highlighted the achievements of the Surabaya Export Center and the recent extension of the Swakelola III Export Center’s management. This expansion now includes Central Java (Jateng) and the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), in addition to the existing areas of East Java (Jatim) and Bali.

During the meeting, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso confirmed that he would officially inaugurate the new management of GPEI for the 2024-2029 term, following the results of the GPEI National Conference in December 2024. The inauguration is scheduled to take place soon at the Ministry of Trade Hall.
GPEI remains committed to supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Indonesia through ongoing programs that include training, mentorship, and export readiness initiatives. These programs, which involve both local and national agencies, aim to empower MSMEs and encourage their participation in international trade.
