CMA CGM has announced the launch of a new service connecting Asia to the East Coast of South America. The SEAS 3 service is specifically designed to streamline shipments between Asia and the East Coast of South America, improving efficiency and service quality for businesses in the region.
“This new service reflects CMA CGM’s commitment to adapting to market dynamics and supporting business growth by providing reliable, high-quality solutions,” CMA CGM said in press release yesterday (March 4, 2025).
The SEAS 3 service will follow a rotation of the following ports: Shanghai, Shekou, Vung Tau, Singapore, Santos, Singapore, and back to Shanghai.
Notably, the service will offer direct calls to the key ports of Santos and Vung Tau, enhancing connectivity for customers.
The SEAS 3 service will operate in partnership with Maersk, utilizing seven ships from CMA CGM and four from the Danish shipping giant.
The maiden voyage is scheduled for April 8, 2025, aboard the CMA CGM Nansha, departing from Shanghai.
