SPSL Promotes Zero-Accident for Dockers through PELOPOR Program

PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), a subholding of state-owned port operator Pelindo, has launched a Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiative in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Through the Pelindo Zero Accident Port (PELOPOR) program, the company aims to enhance occupational health, safety, and environmental (K3L) awareness among Stevedores (TKBM) operating in its service areas.

The program reflects SPSL’s commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and productive working environment, ultimately working toward the goal of zero workplace accidents across Pelindo-operated ports.

“The PELOPOR program is designed to build awareness and instill a sense of responsibility in TKBM regarding the importance of workplace safety,” said Retno Soelistianti, Director of Strategy and Business Development at PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik. “Implementing an HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) culture is a shared responsibility—both within the company and among partners in our operational areas. This initiative is part of that ongoing effort.”

Activities under the PELOPOR program include K3 training, the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the provision of health screening tools for dockworkers. The most recent event took place at the LC002 Field of PT Multi Terminal Indonesia’s Banjarmasin Branch, targeting TKBM partners in the area. A similar initiative was successfully carried out at Makassar Port in October 2024.

The Banjarmasin event drew attendance from several key stakeholders, including: Adi Affandi, S.H., M.H., Head of the Legal Status & Ship Certification Division, Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Class I Banjarmasin; Capt. Johanes Wahyu H., Division Head of Operations, Pelindo Regional 3; Ghusnul Ramadhan, S.E., Young Expert Labor Supervisor, South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Service; and representatives from ALFI/ILFA South Kalimantan and various regional business partners.

Representing the KSOP Class I Banjarmasin, Adi Affandi expressed appreciation for SPSL’s dedication. “We are grateful for the commitment shown by SPSL and the broader Pelindo Group in driving port transformation, especially through safety programs like PELOPOR,” he said. “Initiatives like these not only improve worker welfare but also support the creation of a modern, competitive port system.”

He emphasized that the program marks an important step in strengthening collaboration across stakeholders to enhance port operations and ensure worker wellbeing. “Our goal is to create a safe, productive, and harmonious work environment. With initiatives such as logistics transformation, digital port operations, and increased competitiveness, we are preparing our ports to meet global challenges,” he added.

Retno Soelistianti also highlighted that PELOPOR supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
