PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) on Friday welcomed the maiden call of the MV Highway 357S/357N, marking the launch of the new TI1 Indonesia–Thailand service operated by Samudera Shipping Line (SSL).
The service, connecting Laem Chabang, Jakarta, and Surabaya, aims to strengthen trade links and logistics efficiency between the two Southeast Asian nations.
Ocean Network Express (ONE) will participate in the TI1 route through a slot-sharing agreement with SSL, allowing the Japanese liner to move containerized cargo on vessels operated by its Singapore-based partner.

The MV Highway 357S/357N, measuring 182 meters in length and 30 meters in width with a displacement of 24,757 tons and an 11-meter draft, is one of two ships assigned to the weekly rotation.
“The arrival of the MV Highway is part of our efforts to expand international shipping connectivity through Surabaya,” said David Pandapotan Sirait, President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong.
“TTL is committed to providing efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly services as a smart and green port, and to supporting our strategic partners such as Samudera Shipping Line and ONE.”
TTL officials, including Sirait and members of the management team, joined representatives from SSL and ONE at the welcoming ceremony at the Teluk Lamong Container Terminal.

Captain Nehad Youssef, master of the MV Highway, praised TTL’s operational standards and safety procedures during the vessel’s first call.
“From approach to berthing, everything went smoothly. The pilotage team was professional and ensured safe, efficient maneuvers. We were impressed with the environmentally friendly facilities and high standards at Terminal Teluk Lamong,” Youssef said.
TTL, a subsidiary of state-owned port operator Pelindo, has positioned itself as one of Indonesia’s most advanced and sustainable container terminals. The company continues to invest in technology-driven operations to improve logistics competitiveness and enhance the country’s role in regional maritime trade.
