Indonesia’s Trade Minister Budi Santoso on Friday, 19 December 2025, inaugurated the 2025–2029 executive board of the Indonesian National Shippers’ Council (INSC), nationally known as Depalindo (Dewan Pengguna Angkutan dan Logistik Indonesia), calling on the organisation to help lower logistics costs and boost the country’s export competitiveness.
The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Trade auditorium in Jakarta and marked the formal installation of Depalindo’s National Leadership Council (DPN).

In his remarks, Budi praised the continuity and experience of the newly appointed leadership, saying it would be critical as Indonesia grapples with increasingly complex challenges in transport and logistics.
“Transport and logistics are strategic sectors, but they also face serious challenges. One of the main issues is the high cost of logistics, which directly affects national competitiveness,” Budi said.
He said inefficient logistics undermine the competitiveness of Indonesian exports at a time of intensifying global competition, adding that improvements in the sector would support smoother domestic distribution and stronger export performance.
Budi urged Depalindo to act as a strategic partner to the government by providing policy input, representing the interests of logistics service users and supporting the creation of a more efficient and transparent logistics ecosystem.
“If our logistics become more efficient, export opportunities will increase,” he said.

The inauguration also served as a platform for consolidation among stakeholders in ports, transportation and logistics. It was attended by leaders of several industry associations and companies, including Indonesian Stevedoring Association (APBMI) Chairman Juswandi Kristanto, Indonesian Container Depot Association (Asdeki) Chairman Mustofa Kamal Hamka, members of the Pelindo board, as well as representatives from NPCT1 Terminal, Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) and other logistics operators.
Depalindo said the new executive board is expected to strengthen the organisation’s role as a forum for transport and logistics service users while supporting government efforts to build an efficient, sustainable and export-oriented national trade and logistics system.

Under the newly inaugurated structure, Danang Girindrawardana was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board, joined by Hj. Syamsuddin Moh. Said and Arifin Tasrin. The Advisory Board is chaired by Benny Soetrisno, with Syamsuddin and Arifin also serving as members.
Toto Dirgantoro was named General Chairperson of Depalindo’s National Leadership Council for the 2025–2029 term. He is supported by four deputy chairpersons overseeing cooperation and international relations, inter-institutional and regional relations, ports and logistics affairs, and industry and small and medium enterprises.
Marthin was appointed Secretary General, assisted by Deputy Secretary General Michael Ardianto, while financial affairs will be handled by General Treasurer Jeremia Dewanto and Deputy Treasurer Lies Rimayati.
Several divisions were also established to cover strategic areas including ports and customs, logistics and maritime affairs, foreign trade, legal and advocacy, domestic transportation and distribution, inter-agency relations, and commodities and SMEs.
At the regional level, Depalindo appointed committee heads in East Java, Central Java, North Sumatra, Central Sulawesi, and South and West Sulawesi, reflecting its aim to strengthen coordination across key logistics hubs nationwide.
