PT Dewata Freight International Tbk. (DEAL) is optimistic to reach 250% growth next year after it has clinched some new contracts. In addition, some additional services in chemical trading and logistics distribution are expected to support the target, Dewata said it in a recent public expose and Company’s Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB).
Currently, there are two emerging businesses being initiated. These emerging businesses are expected to provide optimal contribution in 2022.
By the end of this year (2021), Dewata carried out three important agendas: the 2020 General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS 2021), the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB), and Public Expose.
The RUPSLB has appointed Ibnu Fajar as the new President Director to replace Bimada.
The RUPSLB also approved the resignation of Nofrisel as President Commissioner and Ikun M. Soedrajat as Director and changed the composition of the Company’s Board of Commissioners and Directors.
The RUPSLB also appointed Meitra Ninanda Sari as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner, Muhamad Ibnu Fajar as President Director, and Alan Perdana Putra as Director until RUPS in in 2023.
Speaking to the public expose after being appointed as president director, Muhammad Ibnu Fajar explained the positive growth of the company this year. He said, Dewata enjoyed 20% annual growth this year.
Such achievement was driven by several work programs of optimizing revenue from subsidiaries and cost reduction program. In addition, changing focus in shipping services from infrastructure to oil & gas transportation has help to make the company enjoy the growth.
“We are optimistic to reach 250% growth next year (2022),” he said in a press statement today, Thursday, 30 December 2021.
In addition to its internal strategies, Dewata believes some external factors of government policies to control Covid-19, Floating System from Shipping Lines and availability of containers will help the company to reach the target.
Quoting the material for the public expose, Corporate Secretary Nur Hasanah added, next year the company’s work program will be consolidated to focus on Logistics Services, EPC Contractor & Power Services, Mining Contractor & Logistics, as well as Chemical Trading & Transportation.
To continue the development process in the business model, the company is preparing an emerging business of Integrated Logistics Services and Integrated Project Management. To complete the process, Dewata is looking for digital partner support.
The Company considers the right digital partner. It is hoped that this can go beyond conventional transactional behavior with the ‘Customer-Supplier’ model.
