CNC will be enhancing its Chu Lai Express (CHX) service through adding some more port of calls, the CNC has just said in a press statement to Indonesia Shipping Gazette this morning.
CHX is the sole Intra Asia short sea carrier of the CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics.
The CHX enhancement will see Dalian, Busan, Gwangyang and Kobe being added to its list of port calls. This makes CHX a more complete weekly service that links China, Korea and Japan with the niche ports of Da Nang, Chu Lai and Qui Nhon in Vietnam. It also marks the Intra-Asia specialist’s first direct service from North China to Japan.
Through the trans-shipment hub of Hong Kong, shipments onboard CHX will gain access to regional and global markets via the extensive shipping network of CNC and the CMA CGM Group.
CHX will begin its new route from the port of Kobe on 24 October with the following rotation: Dalian – Busan – Gwangyang – Kobe – Hong Kong – Da Nang – Chu Lai – Qui Nhon – Hong Kong – Dalian.
CMA CGM Launches EMBX
Meanwhile, CNC’s parent company, CMA CGM will also launch a new short sea weekly service between Southern Turkey and Black Sea.
The French shipping giant said the East Med-Black Sea Express (EMBX) will start from Wednesday, November 4, ex Mersin and described the service as a “sustainable option aiming at fostering cold supply chain optimisation during the upcoming citrus campaign”.
CMA CGM will deploy two 900-TEU vessels, the Andante and the Dina Trader, on the EMBX with a port rotation of Mersin, Odessa, Novorossiysk, Ambarli, Piraeus and back to Mersin.
The transit time from Mersin to Odessa is 4 days, while the service between Mersin and Novorossiysk will take six days.
