JAI Signed Agreement for Additional Services and Contract Extension with JSP

PT Jasa Armada Indonesia (JAI) Tbk (IDX: IPCM) and PT Jawa Satu Power (JSP) signed an additional agreement in ship service cooperation for LNG ship services in the JSP’s Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) on Thursday, December 29, 2021.

PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk with the trademark IPC Marine is a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which is engaged in ship pilotage & towage services, sea transportation, and marine services. 

The Cooperation Agreement was signed by the President Director of PT JAI Tbk, Amri Yusuf and the President Director of PT JSP, Assistia Semiawan.

This ship service cooperation includes services in pilotage and towing for the special terminal (Tersus) of JSP operation area. This agreement also extends the contract period for three years until December 31, 2024.

“Our optimism in expanding services in pilotage and towage to a number of areas, including the Tersus Jawa Satu Power is our energy in improving services,” said Amri Yusuf.

“We are highly committed in maintaining safety of ships and cargo, supporting smooth national logistics, and maintaining public and shareholder trust as well,” Amri said further.

On the same occasion, an additional agreement related to cooperation in the rental of tugboats for the JSP operational area was also signed up.

This additional collaboration includes the support of 3 (three) units of IPCM’s tugboat fleet to support towing activities in the berthing-unberthing process of LNG vessel to and from the FSRU as well as other supporting activities in the JSP operational area.

The Tersus JSP is one of the largest gas and steam power plants in Southeast Asia, with the capacity of Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) of 170,000m3 and the largest Gas and Steam Power Plant (PLTGU) in Southeast Asia with a capacity of 1,760 MegaWatt (MW).
