PT. Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) – the Indonesia’s leading container terminal in international trade – wins three categories of Tanjung Priok Port Authority (OP Priok) Award 2020.
JICT wins the categories as the best container terminal in high performance, the biggest contributor of non-tax state income (PNBP), and the terminal with most completed facilities for environment protection.
The three awards were directly delivered by Head of OP Priok Capt. Mugen S. Sartoto to President Director of PT JICT Ade Hartono on the Award Event conducted at Harris Hotel & Conventions Jakarta on Thursday, January 14, 2020.
On his remark speech for this event, Capt. Mugen explained that this award remained an appreciation on the port operators, stevedoring companies, port users, and other port stakeholders of their high performance during the year and their efforts to support this port to be a world class port with more and more efficient services.
In addition, Capt Mugen said, this is also a kind of motivation to any port stakeholders to support the program of ‘green port’. OP Priok has declared that this port will become a ‘green port this year (2021).
“We hope these awards will encourage any stakeholders, including terminal operators, stevedoring companies, shipping lines, and any other port-related business stakeholders to jointly and hand in hand to realize our vision to make Priok as a green port,” Capt Mugen said.
In responding these achievement, Ade Hartono told Indonesia Shipping Gazette on the side line of this awards: “We send appreciation to both, our internal team and our customers. We also dedicate these awards to both of internal team and our customers,” Ade said.
According to Ade, all JICT team has shown their high performance. He said, this award proves it. “We also send high appreciation to all our customers, shipping lines, forwarding companies, trucking companies, and others. Their better works have supported us to be there (with high terminal performance),” he said.
JICT, he said, would continue to improve service and do innovation, thus supporting a more effective and efficient port performance.
