National logistics company PT Tiki Lintas Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) is so optimistic with the logistics business this year in view of the increasing e-commerce market and the promising growth of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs).
The increasing e-commerce, according to JNE Marketing VP (Vice President) Eri Palgunadi, would trigger an increasing volume of cargo delivery. “The trend shows that there will be increasing volume of cargo delivery to consumers and community (C to C),” Eri said.
“Therefore, JNE will continue to develop various things that can meet current customer delivery needs, including improving the quality of service or facilities such as COD, e-payment or cashless, Friendly Logistics, JTR (JNE Trucking) and so on, to realize the expected targets,” he said.
Though Eri could not detail JNE market share, but he said that since 2010, JNE yearly growth was more than 30%. Amid the pandemic Covid-19 outbreak, the company was able to keep the market growth of around 20-30%.
“We are optimistic that the logistics industry will continue to grow, thanks to the rapid growth e-commerce and the growth of SMEs that utilize online sales channels. We also carry out various JNE strategies, such as online analysis and research. Internal management continues to be carried out so that innovations can be adopted in accordance with current developments,” he said.
