Pelindo logistics sub-holding – Sub-holding Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL) – commits to accelerate the completion of logistics infrastructures construction, following the formal transfer of shareholding (inbreng) of some subsidiaries from parent company PT Pelindo to SPSL.
One of the subsidiaries now under control of SPSL after inbreng is PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (API), the developer of toll road Jalan Tol Cibitung Cilincing (JTCC) – the access connecting Tanjung Priok with industrial centres in Cibitung and surroundings.
“One of the company’s efforts in creating integrated logistics services is through infrastructure development, including the toll road of JTCC. Since we are tasked to develop it (JTCC) through our subsidiary of PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia, we commit to accelerate the completion of this project,” SPSL President Director Joko Noerhudha said in a statement released today, Thursday. March 17.
The construction of the JTCC is expected to support the smooth flow of goods through a better connectivity between industrial centres in the eastern of Jakarta with Tanjung Priok Port, said Joko.
This toll road access will certainly have a major impact in efforts to reduce logistics costs, which is in line with the company’s vision to become the best solution provider for an integration logistics ecosystem.
“The construction of the JTCC is also carried out as SPSL’s participation in supporting the Government’s program to support the acceleration of Indonesia’s economic progress, smooth people movement and logistics distribution. In addition, this is one of the company’s efforts on value creation and financial uplift,” Joko said.
The 34.76 km JTCC is part of the construction of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2. The Cibitung-Cilincing toll road section, which is part of JORR 2, is located in the North-South corridor, starting from Cibitung Interchange on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road at KM 25, heading north in Babelan District and continuing west to meet the North Outer Ring Road at Cilincing Interchange. The project location covers two areas, namely Bekasi Regency in West Java and DKI Jakarta Province.
The JTCC construction consists of 4 sections: Cibitung-Telaga Asih Section of 2.65 km; Telaga Asih -Tambelang Section (10.1 km); Tambelang-Tarumajaya Section (14.35 km); and Tarumajaya-Cilincing (7.2 km).
Currently, JTCC has operated a 2.65 km toll of section 1 (Cibitung-Telaga Asih). And based on the results of the calculation of the average daily traffic (LHR) on the operation of the section 1 toll road, it has reached 20,000 vehicles per day. This is a very good achievement considering that this toll road is not yet fully connected to other toll roads in the vicinity.
“Until now, the construction of the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road (JTCC) is still ongoing and is targeted to be fully operational along 34.76 km by 2022 which is expected to gradually realize service excellence in the logistics chain and become a solution to national logistics problems,” Joko said.
