The government – Ministry of Transportation – has targeted for a zero ODOL (over dimension over load) trucks next year (2023), meaning that it remains only several months for preparation.
In a recent hearing with House of Representative’s Commission V (February 10), Directorate General of Land Transportation highlighted some preparatory steps toward this zero ODOL program. Director General of Land Transportation Budi Setiyadi affirmed the timetable for this program realization has been on ‘injury time’.
“In line with the guidelines and target from Minister of Transportation and Minister of PURR (Minister of Public Works), zero ODOL should be realized next year (2023). Some preparatory works for this have been completed, some are on the process,” said Budi.
“It may be not 100% running, but we are optimistic this program will run next year. We continue to complete some preparatory works for this,” he noted.
