TTL President Director David P. Sirait, who directly received the 2023 award, explained that this remained a significant achievement in the history of TTL since its first operation in 2014. He said, since its operation for a decade, TTL had been continuing to provide significant contribution to Indonesia’s logistics improvement.

David P. Sirait: “We dedicate this award to all TTL management and staff, customers and stakeholders.”

“We dedicate this award to all TTL management and staff, customers and stakeholders who have trusted and collaborated with us. In the future, we will continue to improve and support the development of a better digitalization system in responding to national issues,” he said.

For information, the World Bank has just released a Logistics Performance Index (LPI) report, saying Indonesia’s LPI 2023 was down, from rank 45th to 63rd. Meanwhile, the government has continued to support digitalization in the logistics sector to create an integrated port information system for all port stakeholders.

In responding this, David said, TTL had carried out digital transformation to encourage improved services and competitiveness. This must of course be supported by taking strategic steps in the areas of port operations and business development.

Several strategic steps taken by TTL include bringing in 4 (four) new services in 2023 by collaborating with large shipping companies, such as Zhonggu Shipping Line, BEN Line & Forecastle Shipping, Meratus Line, and MAP Shipping as Agent of VASI Shipping. These additional new services would directly have an impact on increasing the flow of goods.

In addition, TTL again took real action through synergy with Pelindo’s Marine in pilotage and towage service in overcoming the problem of waiting time due to natural problem of big wave. This collaboration is able to reduce waiting times for ships to berth and to depart and to reduce port stay as well, thus providing excellent service to users.

Commending this award, CEO of Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI) Setijadi said that TTL had led to meet five criteria to clinch this award, including the aspects of types of service, area coverage, innovation, health & safety, and environment care as well.

“Hopefully, this achievement (TTL award) will encourage all ports and terminals, both the ones of Pelindo or the others operated by other operator, to improve performance, thus helping to improve national logistics performance,” Setijadi said.

For TTL, this award remains a special motivation to be strong and grow together, collaborate to face challenges and continue to contribute to strengthening the national economy. “We will continue to increase our competitiveness through digital transformation and service innovation, so that in the future TTL will be able to realize operation and commercial excellence,” David remarked a conclusion.
