Citing data from Indonesia’s Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Riyanta noted that the transportation and warehousing sector grew by 9.56% year-on-year and contributed 6.24% to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Q2 2024.

KAI Logistik’s newly constructed dry warehouse is tailored to meet various logistics demands, particularly in storage. Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, the facility includes CCTV surveillance, racking systems, office spaces, and a loading dock. The two-story warehouse boasts a storage capacity of approximately 850 cubic meters, offering enhanced efficiency and security for clients.

Expansion Plans in Cirebon

Looking ahead, KAI Logistik plans to further expand its warehousing operations with a new facility in Cirebon. Scheduled to cover 1,616 square meters, the dry warehouse will cater to growing market needs and contribute to the company’s ambitious business growth strategy.

“We are actively identifying strategic locations for warehousing development to capitalize on market opportunities, particularly as the logistics industry is forecasted to grow by 5.05% in 2025,” Riyanta explained.

In addition to dry storage, KAI Logistik has established cold storage facilities in key cities, including Jakarta, Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Malang. These facilities play a pivotal role in the cold chain logistics ecosystem, providing temporary or transit refrigeration for perishable goods such as frozen foods, fish, fruits, vegetables, and fresh meat.
