The Campus Field Trip – Port Forward: A Modern Maritime Journey is a continuation of the TJSL Education Program and aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4: ensuring quality, inclusive education and providing lifelong learning opportunities for all. As Indonesia’s largest and busiest port, Tanjung Priok Port is an ideal location for students from Ahmad Dahlan University to enhance their digital literacy and gain a deeper understanding of port operational systems.

Febriandika Putra, Head of the Research and Innovation Department at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), emphasized that the I-CON 2.0 program aligns with Pelindo’s strategy to manage innovation focused on both process and product development.

“This program embodies the Open Innovation concept, where innovative solutions come not only from within the company but also from external parties, such as universities. This collaboration offers an opportunity for academics to contribute real solutions to the port industry,” Febriandika Putra said.

Gatot Sugiharto, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni at Ahmad Dahlan University, praised the program, saying, “I-CON 2.0 accelerates the integration of academics with the industrial world by enhancing students’ digital literacy and broadening their perspectives. This direct exploration at Tanjung Priok Port provides students not only with a clear view of the port industry but also an opportunity to develop relevant technical skills and innovations aligned with the latest technological advancements.”
