Tubagus Patrick, senior vice president of corporate secretary at SPJM, said the webinar served as a reminder for employees to continuously deepen their understanding of corruption and its impact.

“Corruption is a common enemy that can only be addressed through collective commitment and consistent implementation of integrity values,” Tubagus said. “Through this scientific webinar, we hope SPJM personnel will not only understand regulatory aspects, but also internalise honesty, responsibility and transparency as part of their daily work culture.”

He added that SPJM remains committed to supporting the national anti-corruption agenda by strengthening governance systems, improving anti-corruption literacy and promoting ethical leadership at all organisational levels.

The webinar was opened by SPJM President Commissioner Otto Ardianto and attended by members of the board of commissioners and directors, employees across the SPJM Group, executives from subsidiaries, and representatives of the Pelindo Employees’ Wives Association (PIP).

In his presentation, Usman Saroni highlighted the role of transparency, accountability and good corporate governance (GCG) as key safeguards against corruption, noting that strong governance and effective risk management are essential to building a clean and competitive company.

Prof. Habbe presented an academic perspective on corruption in Indonesia, stressing that corrupt practices are not solely individual misconduct but are also shaped by systemic factors that require continuous governance reform and reinforcement of ethical values.

Meanwhile, KPK official Jeji Azizi outlined strategies to prevent fraud and bribery in the corporate environment, emphasising the importance of employee participation in identifying, preventing and reporting conflicts of interest and bribery as part of internal control systems.
