Pelindo Multi Terminal Eyes Sustainable Growth Through Closer Collaboration with Users

PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT), a subholding of state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), is stepping up efforts to strengthen ties with service users as part of its long-term strategy to standardize and modernize non-container terminals across the archipelago.

The company, which handles general cargo, dry bulk, and liquid bulk at non-container ports, says it is focused on delivering more reliable services while responding to feedback from its user base.

“Our highest appreciation goes to our service users who have placed their trust in the Pelindo Multi Terminal Group,” said Ary Henryanto, President Director of Pelindo Multi Terminal.

“Their voices are a valuable asset in our transformation journey. They understand the dynamics on the ground better than anyone and continuously challenge us to adapt and grow.”

In mid-September, the company hosted the 2025 Customer Hearing Forum in Bandung, where major clients from sectors including energy, automotive, and agriculture shared input on infrastructure needs, equipment upgrades, and service expectations.

Participants included state-owned aluminum producer Inalum, agribusiness giants Wilmar and Apical, PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental, PLN Indonesia Power, and automakers such as Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia and BYD Indonesia.

Key topics raised at the forum included modernizing port facilities, improving operational safety, adhering to Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles, and supporting emerging industries such as electric vehicles and renewable energy logistics.

Pelindo Multi Terminal said the event was part of a broader effort to align port development with the business outlook of its users, ensuring mutual growth in a sector seen as critical to Indonesia’s economic resilience and transition to sustainable energy.

“With a spirit of collaboration, we are open to working with our service users as strategic partners to modernize ports and build future-ready logistics networks,” Ary said. “We hope to grow and develop together for the benefit of Indonesian logistics.”
