In a move aimed at sharpening its corporate identity and aligning with long-term strategy, the Pelindo logistics subholding – PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik – has officially rebranded as PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, marking a new chapter in its role within Indonesia’s port and supply chain ecosystem.
The name change, announced this week, reflects what the company describes as a broader transformation—one that goes beyond branding and signals a clearer strategic direction amid shifting business dynamics and evolving customer needs.
For years, the company has operated as a subholding within the Pelindo Group, overseeing a range of port-related support services. But as Indonesia pushes to strengthen its logistics backbone and integrate ports more closely with industrial and urban development, executives say a more precise identity was needed.
“The name Sinergi Lokaseva more accurately represents our position as a strategic holding company with two main portfolios: port support services and hinterland development,” President Director Joko Noerhudha said.
According to Joko, the company’s integrated services, delivered through its subsidiaries, are increasingly geared toward connecting the port ecosystem with the national supply chain. The rebranding, he said, underscores that expanded role.
To reinforce the transformation, the company has also unveiled a new logo intended to symbolize synergy in delivering integrated service solutions across regions.
Strengthening the Port–Hinterland Link
At the heart of the shift is a sharpened focus on two pillars: port support services and hinterland development.
Going forward, PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva plans to optimize both portfolios through concepts such as port-led industrial and logistics infrastructure, as well as the development of dynamic port cities.
The aim is to foster an integrated and sustainable ecosystem—linking ports not only to the flow of goods but also to the economic growth of surrounding regions.
Industry analysts have long pointed to inefficiencies in Indonesia’s supply chain, often rooted in fragmented coordination between ports and inland logistics networks. By integrating services and supporting regional development, the company hopes to improve efficiency, create added value, and enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
A Name with Philosophy
The new name carries symbolic weight. “Lokaseva” is derived from Sanskrit: Loka meaning world or region, and Seva meaning service. Together, the term can be interpreted as integrated services for various regions.
The philosophy, Joko said, reflects the company’s commitment to serving not only cargo flows but also the broader development of supporting areas—an approach designed to create ecosystem-wide synergy.
“We hope this transformation will provide sustainable added value for customers, stakeholders, and the community,” he said, “while supporting the growth of the port ecosystem and its supporting areas in Indonesia.”
As Indonesia continues to modernize its maritime infrastructure and strengthen its position as a regional logistics hub, the rebranded PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva is positioning itself at the center of that ambition, bridging ports, cities and supply chains under a newly defined banner.
